Laura Goldstein, M.A.(she/her)
Doctoral Resident
Laura Goldstein is currently completing her Ph.D. in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at York University. She specializes in working with children, youth, and their families, as well as caregivers looking to support their children through emotional and behavioural challenges. Laura has received clinical training at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), The Traumatology Institute, The York University Psychology Clinic, and a number of other private practice and community settings. Laura has also supported other institutions such as Trauma Practice for Healthy Communities, SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health, and Kindercare Pediatrics in conducting research and training on therapeutic outcomes and interventions for children and their families.
As a Doctoral Resident at Step Stone Psychology, Laura provides assessment and intervention services for children, youth, and their families, working from an evidence-based perspective and always aiming to support each client with their unique therapeutic goals. Taking an integrative and attachment-focused approach, she tailors therapy to meet the individual needs of her client and aims to cultivate a safe and supportive space to not only discuss challenges but also discover and celebrate areas of strength and resilience. Laura is also a member of Step Stone’s Forensic Psychology Service, providing assessment and treatment for youth and young adults who have experienced justice-system contact.
