Harmoni Watson, M.A (she/her)
Doctoral Practicum Student
Harmoni Watson is a doctoral practicum student at Step Stone Psychology providing both treatment and services to children, youth, and emerging adults, as well as supporting parents and families. Harmoni is currently completing her doctoral degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. She completed a Masters in School and Clinical Child Psychology. Harmoni’s PhD research focuses on understanding how racialized children are affected by racial discrimination in early childhood.
Harmoni has trained at both University of Toronto/OISE Psychology Clinic and the Toronto District School Board, where she gained experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds with a range of complex clinical needs. Her training has included conducting comprehensive psychological assessments for learning, attention, mental health, and emotional or behavioral regulation challenges. She has also collaborated closely with parents, caregivers, and school staff to understand each child’s unique circumstances and to develop individualized recommendations that highlight and build upon their strengths.
In her psychotherapy practice, Harmoni takes a client-centred and integrative approach, grounded in an intersectional framework. She is dedicated to creating a warm, safe, and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood, and where their personal goals remain at the heart of the therapeutic process.
